In 1848, on "the nicest street in the largest village in the world," Louis Brandt set up an assembly workshop in his family villa in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland, that was to become the company we know as OMEGA. For more than 160 years, OMEGA timepieces have recorded the planet’s history. Master Chronometer watches earned that designation by passing tests approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, placing OMEGA's COSC-certified chronometer calibres in the spotlight once again.
